AAJA MI STUDENT FELLOWSHIP

Applications for our AAJA Michigan Fellow are now closed.

A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to one stellar fellow who shows great passion and enthusiasm to make a difference in the journalism industry. The selected student will receive direct support from a chapter mentor to meet their outlined goals for the year. The fellow will receive resume support, portfolio critique and guidance from those in the industry doing it the best. They will also receive an annual AAJA student membership and existing members will have 2025’s membership paid for. In return, the fellow will be asked to volunteer with the Michigan chapter board for a year and organize at least one event to engage students or members and assist with our annual fall fundraiser.

Who should apply? Michigan students currently enrolled at a college or university studying journalism looking for professional guidance and support.
